Zinc Matrix Power, Inc. appoints Dr. Ross Dueber, president and CEO, Arthur N. Budge, Jr. becomes chairman of the board.
Camarillo, CA, October 20, 2005 — Zinc Matrix Power, Inc. has recently brought in Dr. Ross Dueber, formerly a vice president of Emerson Electric as president and chief executive officer. Ross has eight years experience at Emerson where he conducted strategic planning, participated in Emerson’s venture capital efforts, and built a new specialty business unit within Emerson. Prior to Emerson, Ross had a long career in the Air Force which included R/D and specification of batteries for aircraft and spacecraft, followed by a teaching position at the Air Force Academy in chemistry with a focus on instrumentation. Ross has a Masters in chemical engineering from Stanford, a PhD in chemistry from Oxford and an MBA from University of Colorado. He also served as the general manager for lithium batteries at Eagle Pitcher where he set up a new production line in the late 1990s. Dr. Ross Dueber has also been elected to the board of directors of Zinc Matrix Power, Inc., expanding the board to five members.

In conjunction with Ross’ appointment to the board of directors, Arthur N. Budge, Jr. has just been elected chairman of the board. Arthur, who has been a director of the Company since inception, has managed a group of angel investors who have provided the majority of funding for the Company to date. Arthur replaces Mike Cheiky, outgoing chairman, who is remaining on the board as a director. Mike is focusing on a new venture which is developing ultra-high efficiency engines, but, plans to remain as a consultant/advisor to Zinc Matrix Power, Inc. and acting CTO until Ross fills in his management team.
